Thermal Transfer Labels & Direct Thermal Labels

Thermal labels are printed in two different ways. Thermal Transfer Labels are printed using a thermal ribbon which comes in a variety of colours and finishes. Direct Thermal Labels do not require ribbons, toner or ink to print. Direct Transfer Labels have a special coating that turns black when heat is applied.

We offer a range of thermal labels on rolls for both direct thermal and thermal transfer printers. Fully compatible with most thermal printers from Citizen, Datamax, Eltron, Fargo, Intermec, Markem, Sato, Tec and Zebra

Our standard thermal label roll sizes are 102mm, 127mm and 203mm with 25mm or 76mm core sizes. Other roll and cores sizes, as well as fanfold labels, are also available and can be made to your specifications. Custom label shapes, materials, colours, adhesive types are available on request.

Thermal transfer labels require a wax, wax/resin or pure resin ribbon to print. This creates a crisp, dark, vibrant print with a long lasting finish. Suitable for long lasting product applications.

Direct thermal labels do not use a ribbon. These labels have a coated heat reactive layer which turns black when heat is applied with the direct thermal printer printhead.
